Life’s Journey or Destination: We once existed & we are going somewhere

Spread the love

Life is meant to be exciting if we understand who we are and what we have been sent to do here on planet earth and around the world/universe. If you don’t have a purpose or understand your purpose, you can’t possibly understand why you exist and thus will do things you probably aren’t supposed to do.  Did you know that you once existed before now? We see evidence of this throughout the

Jeremiah 1:5

“Before I formed you in the womb I knewyou, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Psalm 139: 15-16

“My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”

 Ecclesiastes 1: 11

“There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.”

Many people speak of Life but never understand life itself. There is no other life but life in Christ Jesus so when people speak of Life as being unfair, they are speaking of what the world calls life because LIFE is JESUS CHRIST Himself and therefore cannot be referred to as unfair. The real life is Christ and anything outside of these gates is spiritually dead although physically alive. For Christ Himself said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Indeed, He is the life that we live. He is our hope, our breathe, the reason we are alive!

Taken from Jeremiah 1:5, we were formed by God in heaven and Father God sent us on an errand to planet earth to do certain things. We all have assignments to accomplish and we are to return back to Father God with reports. When the bible talks about standing before the judgement seat of Christ, this is also where we present our report on the errand we were sent to do.

2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

The point stated above is another reason why we must exert our authority on earth and not allow ourselves to be subdued by the devil. The Lord opened by eyes to a vision showing how I traveled on Life’s road at one point. I will share this to help some people understand better. The vision and my understanding of it is as follows:

In the realm of the spirit, life’s process/travel path is much like physically driving a vehicle. You are either moving, stopped, stagnated, in traffic or in a crash with your vehicle severely damaged to the point where you can’t move anymore. Some are moving over the speed limit, some are moving really slow in the slow lane, while some are just trying to start their car and for some reason it just won’t start. Picture this: some are driving and are on their phone thus not concentrating or giving it their full attention, some are just trying to put their seat belts on, others are driving without their seat belts.

The road in which we are all traveling is not always smooth. Sometimes it is very muddy, rough with a lot of debris and sand. A lot of people are driving erratically or just driving drunk. On the rainy days, some can’t see because their windshield wiper is not on or its just not working. Some can see but are deterred by those they are going with or those they are leading so they are forced to slow down  in order for those behind them to catch up.

There are many scenarios in life  and the road is packed with a lot of activities. Some scenes are outright very funny and others are seriously nothing to laugh about.

The Journey, The Destination

We all came from heaven and we are to go back to heaven with reports but there are some who may choose the wrong path and go to hell. When we penetrated the wall of demarcation (between heaven and earth) and came into earth in the flesh through the womb of a woman, we became lost– not knowing where we came from or where we are headed. But the entry key into the gate that leads back to the path of righteousness, back to heaven, is through Jesus Christ, the blood of Jesus. Once we have that passcode (if you believe). In this path, we will encounter many strange things but as we continue on the path, we will begin to see that those things that we thought were strange at the beginning aren’t strange at all. We begin to get used to them and see them almost daily. In this path, however, we will encounter many wondrous, bad, evil, wicked and good things. Some we will be made to witness to, others may serve as movies or images to remember and some? we may never remember again. If we remain strong and stick to the “plan”, we become stronger, better and are perfected throughout by our Father and Lord Jesus Christ. The only food we will ever eat that will keep us strong on this path is the word of God. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrew 4:12), without which, we will die (spiritually). According to Ralph Waldo Emerson “Life is a journey, not a destination.” Indeed, when you are in Christ, you settle in Him. You are not trying to get to Him or to a destination but there is a process (otherwise known as a journey) to travel as we come to perfection in Him. but whether you consider “life” a Journey or a Destination, you must know that we once existed & we are going somewhere.

Are you struggling ?

Are you struggling or just lost? Are you still trying to figure out what life is about? If so, you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior and let Him transform you. You need to connect back to God. God is waiting for you to just embrace all that He has already given you. Pray this prayer with me.  On the other hand, if you think the journey has been too tough for you or have experienced more obstacles than others, do on your knees and pray to the Father for help. Ask Jesus to guide you. Surrender it all to Him and tell Him you cannot do it on your own. You have tried and it didn’t work so now go ahead and give it all to Him. He is there to help you! The Lord will help you in Jesus name!
