This is a controversial issue amongst the babes in Christ, those who still haven’t grasped the word concerning this matter. I mean those who still think that the kingdom of God is about outward appearance, like wearing long dresses or holier than thou attitude. Some, on the other hand, have gotten so used to seeing women wear trousers that they do not care what God says about it and thus do not have a solid understanding or belief on this matter.

PLEASE NOTE: If the Holy Spirit has convicted you personally on this matter and requires you to wear skirts only, please continue to do so. “Do by grace and conviction“..

  • QUESTION: Is it wrong for a christian woman to wear trousers?

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” Deutrononomy 22:5

trousersThe Hebrew translation of that verse is this:

A woman shall not wear anything that a man has already worn. The key word there is parteineth. He didn’t say trousers or shirts or boxers, He said ‘parteineth‘. That is a woman should wear her own clothes and let a man wear his. Howbeit, we no longer live by the law but by grace.

My View & Leadership!!

Most of what women wear today are said to be “fashion”, leggings, tights, etc. So this brings us back to the reason why we must understand what He meant or why He said so. Thus, nobody should be forced to quit wearing trousers, this is the work of the Holy Spirit and not of man. However, if certain people are ministers in the church and yet wear tight pants or trousers, then leadership can call their attention to it so that they will not cause men to stumble; leadership can also tell them to wear only skirts or dresses if they want to continue to serve. Nonetheless, if this is a word that was given to the Pastor of the church, then it is between the Pastor and God. I cannot say anything about that. If that is the case and you still do not agree, then perhaps that is not the church for you.

WE ARE NO LONGER BOUND BY THE LAW

In Romans, Paul wrote extensively on the difference between the law and grace. We are not justified by our adherence to the law, but we are justified by faith in Christ (Romans 3:21-28). The believer in Christ Jesus is “dead” to the constraints of the law.

“But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code” (Romans 7:6).

Therefore, a believer does not live by legalism or license, but by grace. The issue here is one of modesty. Paul writes to Timothy:

“I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God” (1 Timothy 2:9-10).

Paul addressed this issue because the women in the church were focusing so much on outward appearance and flashy dressing, they were losing sight of the things that should adorn a godly woman, which includes a quiet spirit, meekness, humility, sobriety, godliness, and good works.

Conscience and Judgement

If a woman allows her outward appearance to be the measure of her inward relationship with Christ, she is living by the law and not grace. And the only justice they should be under is that of their own conscience because “everything that does not come from faith is sin” (Romans 14:23).

Conclusion

  • You can wear skirts and long dresses if you are not born again and believe in Christ you will go to hell.
  • You can choose to wear or not to wear trousers based on your conscience and not the conscience of another.
  • If you are told not to wear trousers and you do not believe, yet you do not wear – you are guilty of the same sin for “everything that does not come from faith is sin” (Romans 14:23).

Answer

Yes, it is wrong for a woman to wear trouser if she has been commanded not to do so by the Lord!

    TITHE IS ONE OF THE LAWS, IS THIS LAW STILL BINDING ON CHRISTIAN?IF YES PLEASE EXPLAIN Romans 3:21-28

    The Lord places women in hell for wearing pants, only. People, preachers, and teachers are lying. Look at Sister Linda Rika’s heaven and hell testimony on youtube.com. She was placed in hell and punished for wearing pants. She saw Satan send pants to the world for women to wear to make sure women did not go to hand. Please pray and ask the Living God.

      Linda’s testimony depicts what happens to the unsaved, not those who are already saved.
      Linda did not go to hell because she wore trousers, she went to hell people she was not saved. Howbeit, when people go to hell in that state, they are punished for the things they did with their body such as how they used their tight outfits, etc to entice and seduce men and cause them to stumble, they are punished for using their beauty to lure men into fornication, etc. But when you ‘re saved, we have to start from the heart, understand the matter first, then you can be transformed by the renewing of your mind. It works from inside out, not the other way around. Again, it is not trousers or not covering hair that took Linda to hell but first, she wasn’t saved, then the repercussions of that was punishment for rebellion against God – even under the law. This is not to encourage people to go against God’s will but to first focus on the state of the heart & their relationship with God. Not doing it because people do it but having an understanding of what they are doing.
